Explorer Scouts in Spelthorne

If you're 14 to 18 and want to enjoy Scouting you can do so by joining Explorer Scouting. As an Explorer Scout you get to take part in all the usual great Scouting activities such as kayaking, climbing, orienteering... as well as work on projects helping to support your local community and work towards all levels of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

You can also, if you choose, get more closely involved in working with the younger Sections as a Young Leader.

Spelthorne has an active Explorer Scout Unit called 'Raleigh Unit' that meet 8-9.30pm on a Monday evening at a local Scout Group.

If you are a Scout with 8th Ashford once you have turned 14 you are welcome to take part in Explorer Scout evenings prior to you leaving our Scout section which will be at the end of the school term after you have turned 14 1/2. Please email your section leader for any enquiry relating to this move.

Please take a look at a sample Explorer Unit Program and any further questions can be directed to an Explorer Scout Leader.
